Dario Monzione is a photographer based in Freiburg, Germany. After several years in marketing, he turned to photography following a three-month journey through the United Kingdom, where he developed an interest in street photography. His work evolved into portraiture and editorial photography, with his photographs appearing in independent magazines and publications.
Working primarily with film, Monzione explores identity and presence through moments of vulnerability and unguarded expression. His images are built through trust rather than calculated staging, each encounter allowed to unfold and pushed a step further.
His current work turns toward masculinity, drawing on familiar male ideals and forms. Through these encounters, he moves along the boundary between intimacy and suggestion, holding a sense of comfort while leaving something slightly unresolved.
